It's hard to believe, but GYL's spring lacrosse season is just around the corner! After a record-breaking enrollment last season, we're excited to build on that momentum and make the 2026 season even bigger and better for our young athletes. GYL continues to serve as a model for youth sports organizations with our focus on development on and off the field - we are grateful for your ongoing support!
Today, we're sharing updates on three key topics:
2026 Registration
Registration for the upcoming season opens on Monday November, 3, 2025. We're pleased to share that fees will remain the same as last year.
Register by February 1, 2026 to receive our Early Bird Pricing. Do not delay!
Registrations on or after February 2, 2026 will be subject to a fee increase according to the fee schedule.
GYL Travel Commitment Policy
Each year, we face challenges related to overlapping extracurricular activities, which can impact the cohesion and success of our travel teams. To ensure a strong and consistent team experience, we are introducing a Travel Team Commitment Letter for the 2026 season.
This letter affirms that GYL will be your child’s primary spring extracurricular activity, following family, school, and religious commitments. Participation in other spring sports with conflicting schedules—such as soccer, baseball, or other lacrosse programs—will not be compatible with GYL travel team participation.
We ask families to thoughtfully consider this commitment. Our goal is not to exclude, but to recognize and support those who are fully dedicated. If your child is deciding between GYL and another program, we encourage you to choose the one that best aligns with your family’s priorities—even if that means stepping away from GYL this season.
A strong commitment benefits not only your child’s development but also enhances the experience for all players and families. Prioritizing GYL fosters unity, reliability, and sportsmanship—values that define our program. We appreciate your understanding and dedication.
If you register for a Travel program, you will get additional information about the Travel Commitment policy and instructions on how to sign the letter prior to tryouts in February.
