2026 coaching Requirements

Travel & House League Coaches

 

step 1: Register on the GYL site

  • Click here to register as a GYL coach via SportsEngine

  • You can choose to register as a House or Travel Coach


    Notes:

  • For Travel Coaches, we will register and pay for your 2026 USA Lacrosse Coaching Membership and you must be fully compliant with all coaches requirements in order for GYL’s Travel teams to be eligible for play

  • For House Coaches, there is no requirement for you to be a USA Lacrosse coaching member - if you choose to register with USA Lacrosse on your own, do not affiliate yourself with Greenwich Youth Lacrosse as any non-compliance for completing coaches training and requirements will affect our Travel teams

  • If you are a House League and Travel Coach, register as a Travel Coach

  • IMPORTANT FOR TRAVEL COACHES - you must register as a coach so we can roster you to your team and you can see your schedule via the SportsEngine app!

step 2: Attend GYL’s positive coaching alliance night

  • Thursday March 12

  • 6:30PM

  • Greenwich High School, Room 900

  • All parents and coaches are invited to this event.

 
 


step 3: Travel coaches only - Complete a background check (Joe roberta will send DETAILS SENT VIA E-mAIL)

 
 


step 4: travel coaches only - be familiar with the current rules
